I never thought you were ranting at me TM, lol. Listen, everyone has an opinion and that's ok. We all want what we want and think what we think. In a lot of cases here there is no right and wrong. The only thing that can be disputed are cold hard facts. I feel that Mick Taylor put the Stones back on the map during that '69 tour. Just listen to SFTD,SFM,LIV,JJF, MR...and the list goes on and on. IMO,he MADE that tour and got the ball rolling for the Stones again. Other people have stated here that they don't believe that. That's ok...it's their opinion. It doesn't mean they are right. There are no facts to back up what I say or what they said. It's opinion. The Stones never had a MT guitarist before MT or after him. His style is not at all like Brian's or Ronnie's. Charlie Watts himself said that most people feel that the MT Era was the best incarnation of the band. Why? Because of Mick Taylor. Again, its only opinion. One I happen to agree with. I love the Brian Era. I love the Ron Wood Stones. Without the MT ERa I would STILL be a fan. They are clearly 3 different types of music and I love them all, but love the MT era the most. He was in the band 5 years...5YEARS out of 53 years of Rolling Stones music! It is so hard to believe what a short time he was there yet what a monumental contribution he made.
