Manny, that's sad news. My mom's still here and we're nine days away from the day my dad died and fourteen away from St. Patrick's Day, the day we buried him. I don't work St. Pat's Day anymore. Not because Dad celebrated it, but because he liked fun, and when I go out and have green beer and corned beef and cabbage in a bar that's way too crowded and party with people I don't know, it takes my mind off that and I think he would like me to enjoy myself here and not brood. I'm awful at remembering years, so I can't remember how many years it's been, I think ten or so. I'd like to tell you it gets easier, and I suppose it does because it's just not your main focus, but it sure as shit never goes away.
The good memories stay with you, though. That's a good thing. Hang in there and don't be a stranger or worry about leaning on people here.
