Sorry for your loss - my mum died almost four years ago - age 85 - after being seriously ill for a few weeks - was the end of my yearning for her to love or at very least for her to like me from day one of my life, and was quite liberating not to be on the receiving end of her hostility until caring for Dad overshadowed my very existence, and carers for him recreated what Dad and I endured. Sounds like your karma was one that most experience where they know they're loved and receive enough self esteem to go out into the world and thrive in the world. You're very lucky to have known what it's like to have been loved and cared for.
