RE: RE: RE: RE: george harrison,,,nsc

I think that is absolutely spot on Fender Bender, there is so much more to Harrison's playing when you take a real close listen or can isolate exactly what he was doing.

I'm pleased to see you mention his and Lennon's rhythm playing FB, the importance of the rhythm guitar in a two guitar band can't be overstated, but is often dismissed as secondary. I recently read the author of 'The Stones' Philip Norman doing exactly that, and for a guy who wrote several music biographies, it makes you wonder how much he actually knows about playing, and how things are put together.

Sometimes when you hear Keith talk about the 'Ancient form of Weaving', you could get the impression that back in the day it was something exclusive to the Stones. When he talks I know exactly what he means, but I think there was a lot of it around in the guitar bands of that era, the interplay between Hicks and Nash in the Hollies being but one example.

There hasn't been a discussion here on the 'Ancient form of Weaving' for quite a while.
