There was much more than meets the ear with Harrison's guitar. First and foremost along with Lennon he was an incredible rhythm guitarist who always played for the song, but he came up with a lot of catchy riffs and melodic soloes as well. My personal favorite is the 12-string in "If I Needed Someone". Compared to Keith, Harrison's chord structure (and The Beatles for that matter) is more complex, although to my ears Keith's sound is every bit as good perhaps because he's played live shows than George ever did. One recalls that Stu called the Stones his 3-chord wonders, and he was not far off in that description. Each guitarist was ideal for the band they performed in.
