Stones Poll: I have a love/hate feeling for this cover. Very stupid to make MJ out to be eating his fan's hand, but a good drawing indeed, so I gave it a 5.
Rock poll: There are so many I wanted to vote for, I already noted how much I dig the Claude Jeter singing on Paul Simon's 'Take Me to the Mardi Gras', but didn;t vote for it... same deal with Barry Gibb on The Bee Gees's 'Stayin' Alive', and Brian Wilson on the Beach Boys' 'I Get Around'. Then if you ever heard Bill Wyman sing 'Time Is On My Side' live, you want to go with that, but the studio take wasn't as good and very brief. So I ended up going with what must be the highest sung falsetto ever by anybody, that being drummer Roger Taylor on Queen's 'Bohemian Rhapsody'. Many figured it was Freddie singing that part, but as Freddie noted, even he couldn't get that high and although most don't know, most of the falsetto sang on Queen songs was done by Roger, and not by Freddie, although he did sing the falsetto on "Under Pressure" and did a great job on that song.
VS Poll - I haven't made up my mind yet on this one, I really love both versions the same. I guess Joe sang it better live, but damn, how could I vote against Ray's classic studio take, it's as cool as it gets!
Fab Poll: I went with "Dig It". The long unreleased version is excellent, and it has to go down as the worst edit of a rock song ever. Why the hell it was edited down to only 50 seconds when the song was a great 15-minute jam... if you ever heard the unedited version of it, it is very cool. A longer take of the song/jam session, over 4 minutes long, appears in the documentary film Let It Be. It was a sin what Phil Spector did to this song, and yet Paul didn't include the song at all in his terrible remake of the album called Let it Be... Naked. That was the one song that should had been included in the redone album and Paul leaves it out, probably because it wasn't his song. Stupid move Paul, but I still love ya anyway!
