Wow, I was thinking everybody knows both covers, as both are so super. But no, you don't have to Google anything.... all you gotta do is click on the links in the voting booth and you can hear the songs that way. Although with the Joe Cocker take, it may be worth going to YouTube and checking out his live versions instead, as I bet most, including myself, had never heard the studio version of his cover before; I didn't even known he recorded the song in the studio until I found it on Yourtube the other day. Afterwards I found that it was recorded at the same sessions as "With a Little Help..." which means it's more than likely Jimmy Page on the guitar.

"Soprano" is a type of female singing voice, the range of which usually starts at middle C or middle C sharp. How high it goes depends on the range of the singer. It's the highest female voice, but it's a "normal" pitch.

Yes, and that's what I noted, just not in the same words.

Women can sing falsetto, I just don't think that they do in rock music. For whatever reason.

Oh please, let's don't get going on this again.... Women can never, ever sing in falsetto, only men can. That would be the same as saying women can sing in tenor. The word is only used correctly when used with men, when women sing in this fashion, it is considered a normal, but high voice, but when men do it, it is considered a false voice and not at all normal. Again, that's what the word means, a false voice, and it only applies to men. Sure women can sing in this matter, and they have done it with rock music, too, but it isn't called falsetto when they do, and if it is, then the person using the term is using the word incorrectly.... BTW, I was under the impression that "coloratura soprano" was only used to describe when a female sings opera notes. I also believe it's higher a pitch than falsetto is, and not possible for men to even sing (although I didn't look this up). My dad was a big opera fan and I recall him telling me this many many years ago when we had one of our long talks/debates about opera, which I was never a fan of. I would tell him opera singers and heavy metal singers were the same, which he would take as an insult to opera singers, but to me, both only scream when they sing. But I'm pretty sure coloratura soprano only applies to opera singing, and if my dad was still around he would tell ya this.
