DC in the Stones poll. I know it's going to get clobbered, but I'll take DC over the overrated EOMS any day. Maybe if they get rid of some of those overpowering horns on so many of the songs, then we'll talk.
I wasn't going to vote in the first rock poll because, like Teiz, I don't really care who is with who. But I ended up voting for Jim and Pamela. Jim wasn't exactly faithful to her (he had a few well-publicized infidelities) but I think he truly loved her, and he was artistically inspired by her. And she loved him for who he was, not what he was. She wanted him to leave the rock business and become a full-time poet (OMG!).
Animals version in the second poll. That one was a no-brainer.
"Happiness Is A Warm Gun" in the Beatles poll. For the second time. This is the most versatile song for John, where his voice gradually builds from a soft, melodic tone to almost a scream. And he pulls it off brilliantly IMO.
