hi there -- thanks for the nice comments -- I enjoy your posts too. I've just not been around lately to enjoy yours or others' as much.
I didn't mean to imply you're closed minded. But I did think you were being earnest. And I wasn't actually being facetious.
What I love about Yoko -- if not the sound she makes, itself -- is that she is a complete individual, and despite people always wanting to muzzle her she won't be muzzled.
That's like Stones fans -- we's rebels galore in whatever cross section of life we occupy -- and generally we won't be muzzled and live as (I'd suggest) pretty unique individuals. So, my defense-of-Yoko is as much about copying no one and having the gumption to keep creating. Even -- or maybe especially -- shit that most people don't want to hear. For having a radically unique voice. And for doing her ex-ressing herself. Also I do like that band.
And as a woman, it's sooooo fucking nice to see someone her age cool, on stage, doing her shit, and aging really well.
