The thing with the Who, was they didn't pretend to be a current band for a lot of those 25 years. They really did break up for a time - actually several times, and then did reunion tours. But the Stones have never officially broken up, and yes, they continued to tour; but they did break up as far as being a current band releasing new material goes, and there's no way anybody can say they are current and be serious, when they go over 15 years without releasing any new albums of original songs. They are a current oldies band, and considering how bad new, modern day Rock music is, that's a good thing calling them an oldies band.
