I gotten in a somewhat nasty email this week about a Led Zep song listed in our Rock (dog) poll this week that I guess some get confused with yet another song put out by the same band. This person insisted that "Bron-Y-Aur Stomp" was written about the house (well cottage) that the band lived in (located in the middle of nowhere) while staying in Wales, and was the name of the house and has nothing to do with a dog. When I wrote the person back who wrote the uncalled for mistaken email, the email address was no good! What the hell is wrong with some people? Even if I had gotten it wrong, no need to be so nasty over something so trivial. But the thing is, I didn't get anything wrong! "Bron-Y-Aur Stomp" is about a dog and appeared on the album Led Zeppelin III!... The dog belonged to Robert Pant and was named Strider, who lived with the band at the house which was indeed named "Bron-Y-Aur", and which another Zeppelin song, an instrumental song, was named after and appeared on a different LP (Physical Graffiti). They are 2 totally different songs and shouldn't be confused! But if anybody ever feels a need to email me, great!, but just don't be rude, especially for no reason and when you are the one who is actually mistaken!... Some people just need to chill!
