It's been over three years since I last posted here. And I just had to pick a week when no one is here. Where is everyone?
"Gunface" in the Stones poll. IMO it's just a better song overall, and it's a better outlaw song with a better outlaw title, too. I rather like about half of "Bridges". To me, it's a better album than the ones that came right before and right after. But that's JMHO. Like all other Stones albums made after CDs came around, it's too long by about 4 or so songs. In all cases, the band would have been better off putting out shorter albums, with a more careful song selection. I think that maybe they finally understood this when they put out "Blue and Lonesome".
Food songs: I went with "Brown Sugar", which is the obvious choice, but I had to bypass several others which could easily have gotten my vote.
I'm not particularly impressed by the Robert Plant video but then, I was never a fan of the song. I gave it a 6.
The Beatles artwork isn't very original but since it has a photo of the band, it gets an 8.
