Interesting how you suggested 'Icelandic Folk'. It just so happens that there is an Icelandic group I've been really digging for quite a while.
As I've mentioned before here, I'm a big fan of Iceland's OF MONSTERS AND MEN. Love them, especially the trumpet player Ragnhildur Gunnarsdóttir (just say 'Ragga Gunn' 😘😁), she also plays accordion and keyboards.
Anyway, as many of her fellow Iceland cohorts, she's a member of more than one group. She is (or was?) a member of the chamber-pop group Útidúr. I have no idea what that word means, but here's a delightful performance from them called Kanada. And my favorite song from them called Fisherman's Friend. The main trumpet player is Ragga Gunn. I love ❤️ her. --- Just saying. 😍
