As I started to read your reply to my post I thought for sure you were going to talk about Sigur Rós. I just checked Of Monsters and Men's song Little Talks and I like their overall sound. Cool that they sing in English. I don't think Sigur Rós ever sings in English. In fact I don't think they even sing in their own language.
You won't believe what I have been listening to. It's truly a 'guilty pleasure' and its about as 'unRock' as you can get. I've been listening to some "ambient techno tracks' -- total dance club stuff. There's a guy named Deadmau5. Anyone ever heard of him? Its music I never thought I would ever enjoy. My sound world is full of iconic, rebel types like our beloved Glimmer Twins, Old Blue Eyes, and always at least a little of the old Ludwig Van. But this stuff sounds very ephemeral, very artificial and totally digital. But sometimes something just works for you in the moment. It's a long way from Brown Sugar or Mack The Knife, but it just some how put the hook in me recently.
