Your welcome fender bender.To this day im not sure why i enlisted?Ihave never been a guy to shave or cut my hair often,i dont like regimentation or uniforms much of any kind.Somehow i convinced myself that jimmy carter was going to invade iran and try to get rid of the leadership there in early 1980s,but that did not happen yet i convinced myself that a war and draft was coming so i enlisted for a 4 year air force hitch.I figured the air force was the best place to be in times of emergencies.I was not afraid of going to war well maybe i was but i was not gung ho about another vietnam or korea type of action.Its one thing to go and put yourself on the line for a real cause something you believe in and another thing to go into a conflict with no strong conviction to be there,thats a great way to get killed.But the iran tensions subsided and i was stuck for 4 years i was trained in texas and deployed in the panana canal and south dakota.I missed my parents and brothers alot but it went the way it went.I did the best i could for 4 years and was damn glad to get out.
