AND -- after his passing in 1995, you think they would have asked MT to rejoin?
Maybe MJ would have, but....
Just like if BJ was still alive after MT left, I bet he would had been back in by then, since it was said that Brian might only be gone temporary when he left. But of course, death is just that and happens. BJ was long dead in '75, while Keith was dead in his own way, just too zonked out on H to talk to Gallagher at that time. But Keith and Ronnie were already close by '75 and it just seemed that them 2 were meant to play with each other. Yet Gallagher was the best player out of all of 'em.
I think with MT, it depended in part on what he was up to in '95. I think he had enough of his break by then and was ready to go again and would have rejoined if asked. But would had Keith wanted him back in at that time? Keith was very unhappy with his leaving the first time, so maybe he won't had welcomed him back. Too many "ifs" and "maybes" I would say. I bet Ronnie would have joined the band by then, as again, he was meant to be a Stone sooner or later.
