Rory was almost a Stone after MT left. Jagger got him to audition and then decided he wanted him for sure, a head of Ronnie, but felt the final call had to be made by Keith, since that's who he would be playing with. But Keith was too stoned to listen or even talk to the guy when Jagger sent him over to see him, and Gallagher had a gig the next night in Japan and flew off for the gig and never spoke to them again.

But Rory was a lot like Keith, and like Brian Jones too, he could play a ton of instruments great, but he also had a drinking problem like Keith, and like BJ, he didn't live long enough to grow old.
