If ever was a poll (actually there probably has been) called "what is the Rolling Stones most underrated album?" I would certainly pick GHS. I've loved it for decades. And everyone here loves is. But I would say its underrated by the general public.
It's one of the few poll questions that was repeated, yes, it's been asked twice. Voted on the week of 3/6/2000 & again in the week of 6/4/2007, and both times GHS was picked.
As far as the "general public" goes, maybe it is underrated, but I would say it's always been highly rated by Stones fans, at least here anywhere.
