Their early albums are definitely timeless. And reading this thread just today makes me think about brothers in music and that perhaps there is an archived poll somewhere about it? I mention this because of the recent comments on Oasis and the Gallaghers but it is interesting just how many siblings there happen to be in music, and how they are notably different from other set-ups.

Or maybe not so different, I don't know? Offhand, I can think of the boys from Oasis, the Fogerty brothers, the Greenwood brothers in Radiohead (one of my favorite all-time bands) the Butler brothers in Arcade Fire (another modern favorite), Kings of Leon (not quite as favorite but their early albums were still good), The Everly Brothers, the Beach Boys, The Kinks, and let's not forget about the Reid brothers in the Jesus and Mary Chain!, and last but not least the ultimate pair that was the White Stripes HAHA!.....hmmm, there's more there than I thought, and it seems like more often than not they end up fighting.

Still more pondering before I'm done: how do bands with brothers differ/compare to the groups with lovers/couples in them, like Fleetwood Mac and Arcade Fire and Abba and Plastic Ono and the Cocteau Twins and Ike and Tina Turner and Sonny and Cher and Cobain/Love and finally yet another of my all-time favorite bands, Stereolab!?? These are tangents that are just too much for me today. This post is done.
