Good thoughts and comments, as always, with impeccable delivery. As one who studied Int'l. Relations and Geography in overlapping degrees, I appreciate the analysis and the sentiments. I have but little time on this topic for now but I will add that the older I get the more I appreciate just how important individuals are...as opposed to states. That is, specific people with names like Assad, Un, and Trump and their specific personalities and their small teams matter a great deal to how world history develops; more than some people maybe appreciate. And I think that things get lost in translation when you read everything in terms of "China" or the "U.S. Military" or other broad "they"-type prounouns...
Individuals matter, and so that has me wondering if you think Trump and China getting on somewhat better these days, (despite his campaign rhetoric) is a good thing ultimately, and might lead to alternate ways of dealing with NK?
