I'm sorry, but I can't agree at all with any of this! If anything, it's more relaxing to listen to a CD and not have to get up to change to side 2! Then when side 2 is over, you can play your next CD, again without getting up and changing the records. Plus come on, only a non fan is going to ruin the moment and turn on a damn vacuum cleaner, and it don;t make a difference if you'r playing a CD vs vinyl!
I suggest you smoke a joint before you play any of your music, if the music makes you want to work as it plays... I can assure you you won't want to turn on the vacuum cleaner or clean the house if you do, and you will listen to the CD only, believe me!
