I did not know the victims shot yesterday near Smith Mountain Lake about 40 minutes from here, but the cameraman, Adam Ward, graduated from my high school, and his father was my high school baseball coach. (I grew up watching WDBJ.) I knew his Dad well back in those days. It seems Adam had his Dad's same positive, upbeat, personality. Buddy Ward, his Dad, is one of the good guys in this world. Truly a role model. My heart bleeds for him tonight. He and Adam's mother are too upset to be interviewed and asked for their privacy. Buddy is emotional and I know he is going through hell. Send a positive thought his way down here in Salem where he lives.
Guns don't kill people, but psychos kill people much faster, and far more people, using guns than any other weapons or their bare hands.
Send a positive vibe to the third victim who is in the hospital luckily still alive as well.
