I agree Gomper. I hate to say it, but I don't buy records or CDs like I used to. If it's the Stones, hell yeah, I will continue to buy a physical copy of any new record they put out. Some old stuff, I will just buy the song and keep it on my MP3 player or on my computer. But with new bands, I will buy a song online and check it out. If I like it enough and am interested, I will go out and buy the CD.
I have a buddy of mine who is just now getting into the Stones (later in life). It's cool to hear someone who is experiencing this stuff for the first time, and he's in his 50s! ANyway, he bought up a bunch of Stones music for his computer. Then I talk to him the other day and he tells me he's out looking for a copy of the Goats Head Soup CD. When I asked him why (since he has all the music on his PC) he said...I want to listen to the album from start to finish, and have that experience while I'm looking at the cd booklet. I thought that was pretty cool.
