Most of the larger cities have a few remaining, and many of them have diversified their selection of products in order to stay afloat . I make a point to locate and visit them when travelling out of town. Here in Boise there's a record store downtown that seems to be doing well and keeps a good selection of LP's on hand from a variety of genres. They also have live in-store performances from local bands from time to time which is cool. I got a 3-D cover "Satanic Majesties in nice shape from the bargain bin there once for a buck. The guy at the register couldn't believe they'd let it slip through the cracks.
