LOL. Of course not! I was just poking fun of the track record of U.S. environmental concerns. Though the time frame is the Carter era, and that is when Earth friendly politics finally got recognition. Cool link BTW. Thanks!
Yeah the sound is terrible. The link I sent you is from the MTV broadcast. Was it carried by anybody else? Anybody know? I know it was broadcast on radio and one can seek out a audio copy of the performance without the MTV DJ speaking over the drum intro during the first song. But even that broadcast had drop outs in one channel. The entire show was plagued with tech issues that day. But man, they had a lot going on. Remember the Who Satellite disruption in the U.S? There is an MTV interview floating around after the Zeppelin performance where Plant goes off on the sound quality. Blaming it all on the Monitor mix. Really, Robert? Really? Portions of that interview are featured in the reprint of the book, "Hammer of the Gods"
