You could kinda see the fall of Brian Jones just from looking at the album covers. Early stages had him front and center (Decembers Children, Englands Newest Hitmakers, High Tide and Green Grass, etc) By '67 Mick was front and center on TSMR and looked like hell on Between The Buttons which had his fans very unnerved. By the time 1973 rolled around, Mick was on the front cover of GHS and Keith on the back cover. All the albums in between didn't really have a band photo except the many pics that were on Exile. 1974's IORR featured Mick leading "his" Stones down that stairway and Black and Blue and Love You Live both feature Mick prominently on the cover with Keith also in the foreground. It was clear who the leader(s) of the Stones were in that 10 year period...and today.
