Not only did the rest of the band talk kindly about Syd, they took care of him by making sure that he was paid his royalties. I was really referring to fans forgetting about the early stuff. There are a number of casual Stones fans who know next to nothing about the Stones before Beggars Banquet, and some who don't even know who Brian was. I think that the same thing may be happening with Syd.

I only saw Pink Floyd once. That was in 1977, when they were touring behind "Animals". They played all of that album, all of "Wish You Were Here" and a few tracks from DSOTM. Since that's the only time I ever saw them, I can't compare what they did on that night to any other night. I love the Pompeii video though. And I sure wish I'd had the chance to see them with Syd (on a good night for him, that is, which wasn't always the case...)
