These days he promotes himself as some sort of God-fearing patriot, but back in the Vietnam era he avoided the draft by not bathing for a month or changing his clothes, and peeing and shitting his drawers for good measure. When he showed up for his draft physical babbling incoherently, they took one look (and whiff) of him and sent him packing as unsuitable for service. Nugent bragged about this for years, but having re-invented himself in recent years as Mr. Gun-Toting Patriot, he would just as soon you didn't know. The better term to describe this type of individual is Chicken Hawk (There are many more besides Nugent, Dick Cheney included), supporting any and all wars except for the one they "opted out" of.
