For me digital recording has fucked up the 'sound' of music recording...it's like listening to music underwater with a woollen balaclava on...I suspect that's what kids think music sounds like...funny you should mention the 50's and 60's gomper....if you get the chance, listen to Frank Sinatra recordings from the 50's or even the Stones 'Chess' stuff from the 60's for example)...absolutely crystal clear, you are in those studios, at these recordings...as far as I'm concerned they can shove digital recording up their arses...and if there is room, pro tools, click tracks, drum machines etc can be lodged up there as well.....what? opinionated? me?
