I don't know, maybe it's because I've become a political junkie myself, but I like the conventions. Especially the roll call of states, when a politician will say, "We, the great state of Douchebag, home of frigid winters and boiling summers, of the great Robert Throckmorton-Pinhead Jr., of the Loserville Pussycats, of the most authentic Cajun cooking west of the Pecos, of our next Senator, Bill Fartknocker, of our next Governor, Peter Dingbat, give all 30 of our votes to the next President of the United States, CARL DILLWEED!" Better political grandstanding you will never hear.
