So - bottom line- maybe Keith is finally realizing, despite everything he was saying before, how bad he really is? If so, maybe it was those 'jam sessions' with the everyone, including Bill, that woke him up a little. The timing seems about right.
If Bill WAS going to be involved, there is a touch of irony in that, of all the band members, Bill would be the one who is the best musical shape - he really hasn't stopped touring with the RK's since he left The Stones! Not to mention, even though he is the oldest, he has taken care of himself the best,too. (outside of Mick, of course) And could it be too much to speculate that Bill comes in for those sessions, and perhaps points out how bad Keith is playing? Or maybe just playing with Bill and Charlie together again itself makes Keith realize what is going on? We may never know....
