While I always been a Rod Stewart fan, I can't recall hearing that cover before. I just listen to it at YT after reading your reply. Interesting cover, but it almost sounds like his song "Hot Legs" in the way he sings it, and how the music is played (other than it has horns upfront on it and the guitars aren't as much out in front as the song moves on). I also don't believe the long lineup of players noted for this cover at YT; too many players are listed, including guitar players who usually play lead alone without sharing too much, and I just don't hear those guys all playing together on this song, from what I hear. But that's YT, you can't go by what is listed there unless the writeup comes from a official source/website.
