Yeah, the numbers who show up here each week to lurk still blow me away, but when I think about it, deep down maybe I'm not really surprised. I mean, these numbers are actually small compared to how many used to show up here everyday back when this board was the busiest Stones board on the net. The first few years were totally insane here, back before I had the password system installed. I can't recall if you were here yet then, but even after that system was installed, the drop off wasn't that large, but more sane posting did set in. Today, I believe while ten of thousands do still drop by each week, my guess is it's just the same folks dropping by once a month to see what's up. So I would guess the folks who show up now in one week aren't the same former Gasser lurkers who showed up the week before, yet in a full month's time, yes, they all add up to the very same people who lurked here everyday a few years back. There just isn't a lot to read here anymore to drop by more than once a month, with 95% of the posts now gone, but still, I guess there's still just enough new stuff to read once every 4 weeks.
Well, that's my guess-a-mate on who still shows up here monthly. I still wish more took part in our polls, polling was down a bit in the last few weeks - as the holidays always do that, but it's good to see this week that the voting is back to near record turnouts again. Cold weather usually helps out the polls' turnout, we always see more voters taking part in the winter months than in the summer, so maybe this week it's been colder outside in most places? Well, it is mid January after all, yet here it's been a normal January temp wise with little snow on the ground, just a bit more than half a foot is on the ground here, which for our town isn't a lot at all for this time of the year. Climate change has been killing our planet for too long now and at least starting today, the U.S. has a sane man in charge once again. But will he do us well? Time will tell, but anyone will be better than Pig trump!
