I love the Mick Taylor era of the Stones so much. I wouldn't go as far as to say that an album of this era can only be beaten by another album of this era, but it's close. It's Only Rock 'N' Roll might be the weakest album of the Taylor era, and yet I still love it and it contains some personal favorites of mine. Sp as excellent as Between The Button is, IORR edges it out by a bit.
I have loved John Lennon's Imagine since I was a kid. For many years I had only a a version from a Live album, but enjoyed it no less.
The Beatles -- a toss up for me.
Baby Blue is a perfect Rock song. That sensuous, warm guitar throughout, great drums, its got it all. The lyrics are compelling and longing, singing of some loss love. This performance gets a ten from me. Many people discovered the song for the first time in the last episode of Breaking Bad, where it was used at the end. I had cone to love it years before, as I'm sure was the case with others here. Awesome song. and yes, that band's life was cut short and they clearly showed awesome potential.
