RE: RE: RE: RE: Nothing short of incredible

A 100 year old Jagger?

I definitely envision the Mickster hitting triple-digits, barring accidents of course. He takes great care of himself with his exercise and healthy eating. To the best of my knowledge, he didn't suffer any major illness or been in a major accident, or did he? Why am I asking this?

Well, just this past April we lost another legend in pro wrestler Bruno Sammartino. He was only 82 when he succumbed to Multiple organ dysfunction syndrome, also known as multiple organ failure.

Yes, I said only 82. Like Mick, we expected Bruno to live a lot longer. Even when he retired he never stopped taking care of himself. Man he was RIPPED at 82! He did cardio, weight training, never smoked, drank, or did drugs. In fact he was extremely anti-steroids & doping.

I read his autobiography. He survived the Nazis, survived being a poor starving kid, damn near dying from a serious illness while his mom would sneak out at night, risking her life to come back with some food. (He was the youngest of seven, 4 of his siblings having died in early childhood.)

Somehow he managed to survive that illness that nearly took his life at such a very young age. He became one of the strongest people in the world (and that wasn't scripted, he really was). (just a quick aside: wrestling may be scripted, but his integrity, class, values & morals were not, in and out of the ring. A great human being. Scandal free in a profession where scandal is pretty much the norm.)

I had read somewhere that the childhood illness left his heart in a weaker state, and was partially attributed to his heart problems his last couple of months --- which had been kept secret. (He apparently spent his last two months in the hospital and nobody knew.)

We all expected Bruno to live past 100.

And I'm sure it didn't help that during the mid-70s he literally had his neck broken and was nearly paralyzed because of a poorly executed body-slam by opponent Stan Hansen, dropping Bruno on his head instead of his back!

And I'm sure it didn't help when a few years ago Bruno was involved in a serious car accident when a car sped through a red light and smashing into Bruno's car. Doctors have stated that if Bruno hadn't been in the outstanding physical condition that he was in, it would have been a lot worse for Bruno.

So this is why I ask if Mick had any serious illness, or accident. I never heard anything like that. There is no reason he can't get to 100 and then some. Just my 2 cents.
