Not here in this neck of Colorado, it's been down right warm, instead of our usual normal low around zero each nite (or below zero), it was in the mid 20s here on NYE around midnight, and its been that way for the entire winter - not that this weather can be called "winter". Only 3" of snow since Oct, and for the first time in the 15 years I've lived in this town, there was no snow on the ground other than a trace here and there for NYE. Even the fourteeners up high have little snow on them, so now people are worrying about their wells going dry next summer, since the snowpack where all of our drinking water comes from is nil, and it's never been this dry and bare in January like this before.
For the fools out there that don't believe in climate change, this is exactly what takes place when the overall climate starts to go haywire, just like it's doing now. Some parts of the country will see a lot of snow and cold in the winter thanks to things being in chaos (like the east is seeing now) while other places, like here in Colorado, we see almost no snow at all and experience the warmest temps ever for the wintertime. We had record highs 3 days in a row here last week and it's been very mild and at times even warm for 3 straight months now! Most folks out here want it to snow real bad, but there's nothing in the forecast to show any snow falling for at least another week at the soonest.
