Today I kept my word to myself and went out and bought a new modern day TV for the upcoming NFL season. I swore I would do that after last season and watching the games on an old TV that cuts off half the damn picture. So I finally got one of those new TVs that everybody else has, and a few months ago I broke down and got a cell phone for the first time - that I still never use, other than to play music on once a week. So my grandson asked me tonight if I was gonna get a new car next, or at least one made in this century. My answer was no, as my old '96 4 Runner runs just fine, even if it is a gas hog.
