Great album ? Imo its the last ranked of his solo. I'm a fan of all of them solo, and like Mick's the best. GITD has a few great songs, but not a great album. As an album its ok. I think Rolling Stone gave it a very good review, but I could be wrong.

No matter how good their solo work is, people want The Stones. They can't escape that brand they've built. It's too big and in too much demand.
