Keno, you wouldn't make it in Memphis. June, July & August, plus the first half of September are sweltering !!
No, I won't. But I grew up in NYC and LI and it's just as bad there in June, July & August as in the south. Then to boot, it's cold as Hell in NY come the winter months. That's the main reason I fled NY, the terrible weather! It's colder temp wise in Colorado than NY - but you don't feel the cold here. I've said it before, 30 degrees F in NY feels the same as zero degrees F in Colorado. It works the same way with the hot temps... in NY they will say it's 92 degrees, but it feels like 105! In Colorado when it hits 92 degrees, they say it feels like 88 degrees. That's what happens when the humidity is at only 5%. You don't ever see humidity in NY ever below 35%, the lowest I can recall was about 22 or 25%. The lowest I've seen here was 2%, seen that more than once including last summer, heck the world record low is 1%!
So yes, the weather is one reason why I like it here, yet today as I type this, it's snowing outside. Snow in May is normal here, happens every year, but usually before May 15. We're under a Winter Storm watch for tonight. But they are getting it big time on the Colorado Front Range, check out Pike's Peak, the snow there is up to the roof on the summit house: Pike's Peak live Cam
But I'll take a few days of snow in May over 90 degrees any day, anywhere, Ronnie!
