I've never had the pleasure of seeing the Kinks live, but thanks to Chrissie Hynde, I got to see Ray Davies live with the original 4 Pretenders, in '79. He was living with her at the time. He came out and played almost the entire show with them (after the first 3 numbers), and I was just a few feet from the stage, in a half empty house. It was one of the best damn shows I ever saw!
