I don't know where you heard a lot of that, but the only attempt I ever heard of was them trying to kill Jagger when he was staying on eastern Long Island, out in the Hamptons, and a storm at sea, where the killers were coming from on a boat, got in their way. The plan was then called off. I don't recall hearing of the Stones paying the Angels off, but I guess it's possible since so little of this has been discussed. Only thing for sure was that the Angels did try to kill him and failed. But I can understand why Mick doesn't wish to speak about it.
