Stones poll: There are 4 or 5 of these covers that are outstanding... The Black Crowes take the 5 spot, with Aretha Franklin's cover coming in at 4, the music on this one features Keith and Ronnie, and the cool video features Keith in 2 roles! As Whoopi Goldberg says to the dude behind the board as she enters the studio, well, watch the video and see for yourself!.... Then my third place pick would be Peter Frampton's live version on his big live album, I can't recall now if I linked to that one or another live take he did of the song, as he still plays it live regularly to this day and does it real good. Now, the top 2 covers of JJF are excellent indeed. Second place to Leon Russell, who also to this days plays it regularly live, and the video I linked to, from the George Harrison held Bangladesh concert, had him also doing a cover of "Young Love", which nobody beats him on, but this poll is for the JJF part of the vid only.... But as great a cover Russell's take is, nothing, and I mean nothing, beats Johnny Winter's on fire version, which is almost as good as what the Stones did! Johnny also used to play this song live all the time, too, and the video I linked to is from a BBC TV show from '72, or was it '74, it tells ya in the link, but just have your fire extinguisher by your computer and ready to use when you watch the video, 'cause this one is on fire!... and what I voted for.
Rock poll: Haven't voted yet, but more than likely it will be one of the Beatles songs listed when I do vote. Although the Alice Cooper song is a good one too that most don't know, since it's a hidden track on the B$B LP.
