I suspect men and women have different views toward footwear. A boyfriend of mine once accused me of "being female" because I bought a pair of shoes that were too small for me. For me it was logical: they were perfect in every other way!
My (female) friend was also surprised at the response of the guys here about footwear. She likes to do her toenails in the summer and it never would have crossed her mind to wear closed-toe shoes to a show.
I'll wear sandals on the way up, but throw my bitchin' black boots in the car and decide at the last minute.
Too bad about the crappy Sheepdogs show. Sounds like your swollen big toe plastered with drunken mosquitoes was more(/i> engaging than the band.
As for beer, my bladder's the size of a thimble.
