Hey, women of Gasland, what do you like to wear to a Stones show?
How important is it to you to wear clothing with the Stones logo on it? The one top I have with a logo is cute but not sexy and probably too young a style for my 50 years. On the other hand, I wore pretty much all black to the Grateful Dead simulcast last night (husband is a Dead Head: the things we do for love). I felt somber and old, even compared to some of the grizzled men there because they were wearing tye-dyes! I definitely did not have my concert-going chops together last night. And it was in Woodstock, too. I should have known better!
Most important: what kind of clothing would most likely cause me to be fingered by Keith Richards? (For a backstage chat! Get your minds out of the gutter!). It's a pipeline dream, but one must at least make an effort. Clothing with a logo demonstrates devotion, but is sexy ultimately more appealing?
I've noticed that MJ's style has been simple and elegant these past few tours, and manages to be just right for his age, his personality (fun and playful, yet dignified and professional), his need to move freely, and his occupation. I feel most psychologically comfortable dressing similarly, but I am also going to want my clothing to match my feeling of fun that night.
Also, is it safe to wear sandals or is it common for feet to get stomped on? I'm not on the floor, but I imagine everyone everywhere will be up & dancing.
Finally, since the Buffalo show is outside, the weather will be a big factor in deciding what to wear. The temperature is predicted to be 82/63 and clear on Saturday in Buffalo—but that's a long way off and could change. Any advice for cold or rain in an open-stadium show? If it rains, wouldn't it be cute if they distributed little ponchos like the ones on Rock & Roll Circus?
