I saw Plant when he opened for the Who right after Entwistle died. He sang some Celtic songs from the 18oo's. really lame IMO. He then announced "This is a song of hope." in which the place, Madison Square Garden, erupted thinking it was gonna be Stairway. He then said," Oh no...another song of hope." He then sang Going To California, which I think is better than Stairway, so I was happy! He didn't sound bad, but you could tell he was being conservative with his voice and he didn't sing anything where he had to strain or exert himself.
