No vote in the Stones poll. IMO these are two mediocre albums and the last time I listened to them was, in each case, for the purpose of writing a review for this site. "Steel Wheels" was supposed to be a comeback album after the DW disaster, but the comeback didn't really occur until "Voodoo Lounge". Meh!
Pink Floyd's "Money" in the first rock poll. Gotta love that cash register sound as a prelude to what follows.
Beatles version in the second rock poll. Those Lennon vocals win it for me.
"I Wanna Be Your Man" in the Beatles poll. That version doesn't hold a candle to the Stones' far superior cover. Nice person as he is, Ringo isn't much of a singer, especially compared to the other three.
Today is a holiday in Canada too. Canadian Thanksgiving. Although not nearly as big as its US counterpart, it's still a day off for most workers, and the schools are closed.
