It's been Indian summer all September here - well, kinda. Officially, to have Indian Summer anywhere, you have to hit freezing (32ºF/0ºC)on one nite and then any warm day after that is a Indian Summer day. Around here our average first freeze is Sept 15, so we have Indian Summer days when it's still officially summer in most years! But this September it's been super warm every day and nite, it's only gone below 40º(F) twice so far, and highs have been around or above 80º every day last week alone. Today it did cool off and only hit 64ºF and tomorrow nite it might snow and finally hit freezing. So maybe on Tuesday we can start calling it "Indian Summer" officially around here. But hell, my outdoor garden is still going strong and producing food, but it looks like tomorrow afternoon we will have to close it up, or cover it up overnight to keep it going for a few more days. But this is the second longest I've had the garden last in the 11 years I've lived here! 3 years ago it lasted till Oct 2, and I was hoping to surpass that date this year, but it doesn't look good to reach Oct 3 this year with what is in the forecast as of now.
