Well if artists give their new studio lps away what is the motivation for bands like the stones to go into the studio.One would think that the stones would want to go into the studio just for arts sake, they have more money than god.And if they avoid the studio for finamcial reasons or to make a staement,then other less financially endowed artists certainly wll skip recording.No wonder all the bands tour nowadays without newly recorded material?!As for u 2,i bought their first few lps on vinyl then quickly lost interest.They are pretty good,but when you compare them to the great bands of the 60s and 70s they fall way short.
