I wonder if there is any truth to this "official" reason for the very lengthy delay in getting this show released.
Of course not! One only has to watch the show to see that the Stones played great that night! Brian Jones and the Glimmer's wanting to get rid of him was the only reason this was never shown in early '69.
"God" by John Lennon in the first rock poll. It totally crushes all the other entries IMO.
It's my pick too, but I disagree on it crushing the others, there are several great songs on that list, like the Jethro Tull song just might even be better than Lennon's, it's lyrics are a bit deeper: "People - what have you done - locked Him in His golden cage. Made Him bend to your religion!"... and that's just to start the song out!
