I understand why you thought that and how you generally feel about Ed. I think other muscians like Brain Jones, Keith, Axle Rose, etc., all suffeer from the same thing to different degrees; they let their insecurities and inability to deal with fame get to them. So they get hooked on shit and become the worst version of themselves. Some more than others of course and of course in different ways.
